A censorship has been instituted over gramophone records, owing to the discovery of a large number of German origin. They were labelled 'music, hut were scurrilous lampoons and preposterous reports about the Russian military and internal situation. GERMAN SUCCESSES—ON PAPER. London, August 28. A German communique says: Northwest of the Swinuichy-Lutsk salient the Austro-Hungarians repulsed the Russians. The enemy attack north of the Dniester temporarily succeeded, but w.\s wiped out by a nocturnal counter-attack. We repulsed the enemy advances northcast of Kukul, Stara, and Wipzina. AN AUSTRIAN REPORI. Received August 29, 8.15 p.m. Vienna, August 28. A communique reports: We repulsed a strong Russian attack, north-west of Mount Kumal in the Carpathians.
