The wheat and flour afloat is 1,720,000 quarters, for the Continent 3,005,000 quarters, Atlantic shipments 757,000 quarters, Pacific nil. Crutchings again declined 2d per lb. Sheepskins advanced '/id and were in keen demand, '.ound-pelted full-woolled ikins getting most benefit. Tallow was var to 3s per ton easier. Ox hid?., advance/1 Id and cow */., d for good-cond'tioned linos. Calfskins wore in good -uppiv and sold readily at Id per lb; advance." The prospect of pricee for good sound lines of calfskins seems very bright, and I would urge farmers to give more care in the salting. N.P. HIDE, WOOL, SHEEPSKIN AND SALLOW SALES. Tj, A, Nolan and Co. report:—On Tuesday, August 22, we held our four-week-ly sale of the above. We had a rather larger catalogue of hides than usual, Balance of offering represented about our usual quantity. Hides were submitted to very keen and excited competition, and realised extreme prices. Bulk of offering were in splendid dry condition, and to this we attribute some portion of the successful results obtained.
