THE EMPIRE.

LAST NIGHT OF THE SPLENDID ALASKAN ROMANCE. '•THE IRON STRAIN." "The Iron Strain,'' a praiseworthy six-reel film play of Alaska, is an attraction to all lovers of a novel and unusually accomplished sceen play which has for its background Alaskan scenes of mountain and valley which tend to make the picture true in effect and realistic in story. The lending parts are played by Enid Markey and Dustin Farnum. A full outline of the story has been published in our previous issues. It only needs to be said that no report can do justice to the excellence of the wonderful Triangle masterpiece. On the same programme, which jViill be screened for the last time to-night is the latest "Patho Gazette" and a laughable comedy by Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Drew, "Diplomatic Henry." TO-MORROW, A REMARKABLE WORLD CORPORATION FILM. "SHOULD A WIFE FORGIVE J l * Charm and heart appeal are the outstanding qualities of the latest success, "Should a Wife Forgive?" to be screened at the Empire to-morrow. Miss Lillian Lorraine, the beautiful and talented actress, is seen in the part of "La Belle Rose," a stage favorite, who uses her gri;at beauty to break men's hearts. It is a role tuat requires a great amount of dramatic force, and Miss Lorraine succeeds in each thrilling situation in such a manner as to rouse the audience to a high pitch of excitement. Seldom have there been so many thrills in one act as there are in the third act of "Should a Wife Forgive," The scene that will be longest- remembered is, no doubt, where Alfred Bedford, the young spendthrift, discovers that the actress was only fooling him, and gives way to an ungovernable fury, eventually flinging the woman with great force to tinground. In this scene Miss Lorraine reaches a high plane, her facial acting being very pronounced. The screening of this magnificent dramatic subject is limited to one night only. .
