The Ircmier promised a deputation of hotel-keepers that the Government would consider granting hotel-keepers a moratorium. The hotel-keepers told Mr. Holman that owing to six o'clock closing, miles* some positive and definite relief was granted, the .publican „was faced with ruin, and w,duld be driven to the wall. The community failed to realise that the brunt of the position brought about by the development of public opinion would fall upon mere distributors of liquor.
