The fiovcrmncnt has received word of the safe arrival at Copenhagen of Fitsshugh Green, an American naval officer on the Crockerland expedition, which left in 1013. Green's report makes no reference to the existence of Crockerland, which Peary believed he had discovered, and does not mention whether McMillan and others of the ( party are with him. The party was several times threatened with starvation. Washington, August 23. In consequence of Fitsshugh Green's "cport not confirming the discovery of Crockerland, a section of Congress is urging an investigation of Admiral Peary's claims. An investigation is considered unlikely. ~
