Geography.. Pacific Geographies; (li) Supplementary Readers, as per circular of'the Board: (7) Copy Books, McDougal'l's Semi-Vortical. General recommendations.—(a) That the Board express its opinion in favor ol the general inadvkability of frequently changing the authorised class books, especially the readers; (b) that a set of the authorised readers be placed in each schooi, for the teachers' use, and be regarded as part of the school furniture; (c) that the attention of the teachers he called to the regulation concerning the grant for supplying children with free books as may be required. The chairman considered tliir. was a very important question. It was desirable to have a uniform set of books, and it was also desirable not to change too often, this being a source of expense to parents who shifted throughout Taranaki. The change would come into effect at the end of the yeai. Seconded by Mr. K. Dixon and carried.
