Painl, rcpicscnting the Air Board, mentioned that seven Zeppelins are officially known to have lieen destroyed and five others are believed to have been d.snble irremediably. The Allies altogether have accounted for thirty-fiv(! Zeppelins. Received August 24, 12.40 a.m. London, August 23. The total killed was 334 civilians aiid fifty militarv. Mr. Mond moved the adjournment of the debate in order that the House may give adequate attention to the rise in the cost of living. slr. Bonar law resisted, amid protests, whereupon the Government accepted the motion, and agreed to discuss the qu&stiou to-day. LOOKING FOR PEACE London, August 22. „ Tn the House of Commons, Mr. Ponsonby asked whether, in the event of peace negotiations during the recess, would Parliament immediately he summoned to deliberate thereon. Mr. Asquitii replied that he could not give any such undertaking.
