The Rimu, which i 3 replacing the Rarawa while she is being overhauled, arrived from Onehunga yesterday and sailed at the usual time last night. iShe returng again on Friday morning. NOTES. A singular feature of the trip of the barque Daniel from Clarence Town, New South Wales, to Auckland was the fact that the vessel maintained practically a straight track for over 800 miles, keeping almost exactly to the steamer route. The vessel's deck was awash throughout the trip. Except for a two days' gale, it is stated that the Daniel would liave made the crossing in eight or nine days instead of in the creditable time of twelve days. She brought 112,125 ft of ltardwood and 70 pile timbers-
