GENERAL SMUTS' MISSION. CRUSHING THE GERMAN'S. ENEMY IN RETREAT. Received August 22, 8.35 p.m. .London, August 21. General Smuts reports two days' lighting on the Warni rover, towards Ngagoio, the enemy retreating. ■ General Hoskins occupied the crossings on the IStli, and is constructing bridges. General Van dor Venter in' the meantime, moving rapidly eastwards from Mpapua, inflicted severe losses on tiic Germans near the lvidete central railway, and, pursuing them through the Msagura station, is now approaching Kilossa. We seized the crossings at Wami. Further east, Boar Mandara, we relieved the naval forces at Bagamojo anil advanced towards Dares Salaam, supported by the naval operations on the coast.
