PRICE OF CHEESE.

To the Editor. Sir, —In reference to oiler made by the New Zealand factories to the New Zealand Government at Sijd nett f.o.b, if the factories in New Zealand sell at this price to the Imperial authorities they will lose over a quarter of a million sterling as compared with the price that my firm averaged for about 0000 tons of cheese last year on the English market. They averaged from ().;d to Old nett f.o.b. up to and including the Turakina shipment. This is the last Turakina shipment. Balances for same were remitted August 14, hence the average to that boat. It is just as well to let the New Zealand' people and the farmers know what their cheese averaged last year, to show that the price offered to the Government is a very low one.—l am, etc., S. TURNER, For Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale and Co.. Ltd.—Advt. ,
