At the Empire to-night and to-morrow 'David Harimi," the favorite jural life story, by Edward Westcott, will be screened, with a; fine supporting programme. . The characters in the story are excellently played, and the production on the whole is enjoyable and wholesomely entertaining. The story is one that is very popular with every story enthusiast. Mr. William H. Crane, a new motion picture star, plays the character of "Old David flarum," counsel, banker, horse trader and philosopher outwardly a grouchy miser, fiilHrf oddities and gruil'ijess, but in reality a phil anthropist, whose heart is big, sound and sweet. The story is enacted amidst pretty scenes, quaint and homelike, suggestive of rural life and ways. The production conveys on the wliole a sweet story interwoven with situations that are entertaining and enjoyable. 'Hie supporting items comprise: "The 'Pathe Gazette," an int.- -sting war topical; "The Battlefield oi Neuve Chape-He," war scenes; ''River Life near Paris," a colored scenic of France; and "Cartoons in a Sanatorium," a. clever . Edison comedy. The Empire Orchestra will play popular and appropriate music. Seats for either night's performance can now be reserved at Collier's.
