ENTERTAINMENTS.
MISS SPINNEY'S RECITALS. A rare intellectual treat, was afforded those who attended at the Good Templar Hall last evening, to witness the entertainment given by Miss Dorothea Spinney. The "evening" was made in three sections. The first, an Irish play, "The Travelling Man," in which the lady filled three characters, \va s very popular, and allowed ample scope for introducing Irish sayings and mannerisms. "A Maker of Dreams," a Pierrot play, and poses from Greek vases, to music, filled in the remainder of the evening. The artist was frequently applauded for her clever work, which was enhanced bv the sympathetic accompaniments played liy Miss I.eathani. A second "evening" will he given on Tuesday evening, and this should attract, a large attendance. This aftornoon Miss Spinney will entertain the girls from the High and other richoola.
