A SCRAP SOMEWHERE. New York, August 17, ■Passengers by the Cunard liner Aiaunia say that a captured German submarine, lashed to a British cruiser, was taken to Deal, in England. A British destroyer, badly battered, was taken there at the same time. No details were given. SUGGESTED GERMAN TRICKERY, Copenhagen, August 17, An explosive machine wrecked the engines of the Norwegian liner Haakon, while on the passage from Bremen for cargo towards England. Germans are suspected. AWAITING THE BREMEN. / Received August 18, 0.10 p.m. New York, August 17, Allied cruisers and aeroplanes are keeping a close watch on the coast for the submarine Bremen.
