DOROTHEA SPINNEY. "Weave a circle round her thrice, •For she on honey dew had fed, And drink the milk of Paradise." —Coleridge. When the wliite-robed figure of the woman, Dorothea Spinney, moves with rhythmic precision against the deep blue curtain and. the candles burn, it is as though 0 priest in a temple of Zeus had suddenly appeared in this modern life to take us to breathe for a short* spell in a more reposeful though deeply passionate world. There is magic in it. Miss Spinney'? recitals will he given in the Good Templar 11011, and will begin to-morrow (Friday), with a popular programme. The box plan is at Collier's.
