CHEESE VALUES.
. . We understand from Mr. S. Turner that Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale's Queensland agent (Mr. Moxev, of Brisbane), has reported that the Cheese Association there lias sold through the Federal Government to the Indian 900,0001b of cheese at IOJd per lb, delivery to be at the rate of 100,0001b per month for tin: next, nine months. The agent does not say whether this price is f.o.b. or c.i.f., but Mr. Turner has cabled for this information, and upon receipt of it will advise us further. If the quotation is c.i.f., says Mr. Turner, it would mean %d less, but lie in almost sure that the price will be f.o.b. The quotation refers to .isual exrnrt cheese, and it is generally conceded that Queensland cheese is not worth within id per lb of New Zealand; cheese.—Hawera Star.
