grand change of programme TO-NIGHT. ANOTHER "STINGAREF" ADVEN-. - TURK. A very fine selection of motion pictures comprise the new programme to be screened at The Empire to-night. The new scries is not overburdened by drama or comedy as so often happens in the arrangement of programmes at the present time, but includes a number of topical. interest and travel pictures that will undoubtedly prove a pleasant change and provide that variety so sadly lacking in many of the picture entertainments. Amongst the interesting and educational subjects to be. screened this evening will be "Oceanography Wonders of the Dee])," "Naval Sports at Malta." "Australian Gazette,'' a Neptune cartoon eomcdv, and a short bright pictuie of ''Snapshots of the British Navy." The Yitnsrapi' company have provided a laughable comedy "The Shabbies" and the dramatic side of the programme is filled With "Meg of the Cliffs," and "A Voice ; n the Wilderness," being- the first adventure of the dashing "Stingaree " Tiiis dashing adventurer of ,V. E. Hornung's well-known book was introduced to picture patrons last week and the present picture depicts his first adventure in Australia. Patrons who have not read the book are reminded that this is not a serial picture, each adventure is complete and introduces new characters, flic book can be purchased in the cheap editions at the local bookshops.
