A young married couple, Oliver Weldnn and his wife Ruth, take up their residence in the city and devote so much time to business on the one hand and society on the other that they gradually drift apart. Their child dies and each blame the other for neglect | and causing the death. They separate r.nd some months later a friend, realising tn.it they are grieving for one another, lakes steps to bring them together again.
