THE TREATY WITH RUSSIAj FITS IN WITH BRITISH ALLIANCE* , Tokio, August 6, Admiral Kato, speaking at a banquet' celebrating the Russo-Japanese treaty, emphasised that the treaty remained as the basis' of Japan's diplomacy. He would oppose any alliance seeking to displace the Anglo-Japanese, hut the Russo-Japanese convention would be, complimentary thereto.
