GERMAN ARCH-CRIMINALS. MR. TOSHES' VIEWS. TRY THEM LIKE MURDERERS. Adelaide, August 7. Speaking at a reception, Mr. Hughes said he hoped to live and see the day when the arch-criminals, of whom the Kaiser was one, were arraigned before a competent tribunal and tried for their lives. If a brick wall was good enough for innocent non-combatants in Belgium, it was good enough for these international criminals who had steeped their bodies and souls in a sea of blood, and who, while living, would ever be a danger to civilisation. One of the terms of peace must be that these men shall be placed in a dock as common criminals before a federal council. SOLDIERS' REPATRIATION FUND. A DONATION OF £-20,000. Received August 8, 0.5 p.m. Sydney, August S. The Governor presided at a public .meeting held in the Town Hall. He ilaunched an appeal for subscriptions to supplement the Soldiers' Repatriation Fund. Horderns', Ltd., have donated £20,000.
