COMMENCING AT ■> p.m. AND CONTINUING UNTIL 10' P.M. t To enable all intending patrons to view the wonderful Famous Players dramatic spectacle, "The Arabi," the management of ''The Empire" will run a continuous show throughout this afternoon and to-night, commencing at •'. p.m. and continuing on until 10 p.m. There will be four complete shows during this period, the approximate starting times being 2 p.m., 4 p.m., again at 0 p.m. and the final screening at S p.m. The full programme, including "The Arab," will be shown at each session, and the advantage of this system of screening pictures is that whatever time patrons enter the theatre they will still see the full programme simply by waiting until the first picture they saw again comes on the screen. The 2 p.m. session and 8 o'clock session are always crowded, and the_ management advice those patrons who do not care for the crowded sessions to make a point of visiting the theatre between the hours of 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Prices of admission will be as usual, and children will be admitted to the afternoon session for threepence. ANOTHER GREAT TRIANGLE, FEATURE. "THJI EDGE OF TEE ABYSS." The star feature on Monday's change of programme at the Empire, a society drama, "The Edge oi the Abyss," is classed as the latest release by the Triangle Co., and is said to be a very powerful story play, involving accurate settings and brilliant photographs, combined with artistic actings and interpretation. The east includes Mary Bolard, Willard Mack and Frank- Mills. The theme is new and original. Briefly thus: Alma Clayton, a butterfly type, of girl, is engaged to a sort of gilded youth. She meets an eminent lawyer, whom she marries, forsaking the youth. Gradually she tires of the lawyer and they quarrel. He leaves her his mansion to live in he goes to his club. She attracts the youth back to her, and he endeavors to make her elope with him. His plans are frustrated just in time by a ourglar, who breaks into the lawyer's mansion. The burglar discovers he is in the house of the lawyer who befriended him, Finally he promptly brings lawyer and wife together through a clever scheme, and both are reconciled. There are many other fine subjects on the programme, including the Pathe Gazette and an excellent Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Drew comedy, entitled "Too Clever by Half." The box plan is at Collier's, where seats may be reserved without extra charge.
