EFFECT OF RUSSIAN VICTORIES. ACTIVITY OF INTERVENTIONISTS. ENLIGHTENING THE BULGARIANS. Bucharest, August 2. Enthusiasm over the Russian victories is causing the interventionists to hold a campaign of colossal proportions. A number' of Roumanians have gone to Bulgaria to communicate the Russian bulletins to the people, as the Bulgarian I Government prohibits even Austro-Ger-nian communiques which mention retreats. One hundred thousand paraded the streets of Bucharest in favor of intervention. Similar demonstrations were made in other towns. BULGARIANS WITHDRAW. ATTEMPT TO EJECT SERBIANS FAILS. Received August 3, 10.5 p.m. Rome, August 3. A message from Salonika state- that the Bulgarians have abandoned tlieii attempts to drive the Serbians out of their new positions, and have withdrawn to a new line. MUTINOUS TURKS. BULGARIAN ANXIETY. Athens. Angiwt 2. Mr. Jeffries, writing from Athens, i says that the Turki.-h army i.s now in a j very bad condition and mutinously in- ! elined. j The Bulgarian Staff has asked the Austro-Germans not to withdraw further troops from the Balkans. The Germans replied that they would only be withdrawn in case of necessity and would be. replaced by Turks. I GREEK DEMOBILISATION COMPLETED. Athens. August 1. The Greek demobilisation is complete. The Greek garrison at Salonika has been sent to TheSbiily to prevent friction with the Allies,
