DEMON'STRATIOX AT MOTUEOA Further demonstrations o! the manufacture of pig-iron from Taranaki ironsand, by the Heskett process, were given at the experimental works, Moturoa, yesterday, in the presence'of a.'large lumber of persons representative of the whole of Taranaki. Particular Interest attached to this demonstration, it being the last occasion on which a demonstration will take place on that, site, as next week the plant is to be dismantled with a view to its removal to a more convenient position iicai by, where the works arc to be erected, and it is hoped that in the course of four months the manufacture of pig iron on a commercial scale will be an established industry here. There were several successful rum yesterday, and those ■present, aoionf whom Were a large number of share holders, Were very satisfied with the re suits, which must also have appealed to others, as a considerable number of fresh shares were taken up during the after noon.
