The Government Statistician's estimate of the autumn and winter lambings is as follows: Number of ewes in New South Wales 17,119.000, of whom 10,042,000 have been mated The number of lambs dropped will probably be 7.277„000, and the probable markings 5,750,000, a percentage of 54. The autumn lambing in many districts were less successful than winter ones many lambs perishing owing to lack of rain.
