HUNTING

On the 13th Inst, a very succe«*ful meet took place over Mr. C. Stockman's and Mr. Tawhanga's, Waihi, about thirty following the hounds, and there was alio a good attendance of the public'. At the conclusion both gentlemen entertained the. visitors. On the 20th, the meet was at Mr. James Erewini's, Waihi. Some splendid nuns wero obtained. There was again a large attendance, and Mr, Erowini very hospitably entertained the visitors. Kor to-morrow Mr. L. Connctt has kindly thrown his place open ior the huntsmen. The country is very suitable for the sport, and a record attendance is expected.
