Comw. wid inter alia that despite what had Iris** said to the effect that Rua had made misuse of liquor, and that he had demoralised his people, there were no signs to bear but the statement. The natives who appeared in tho court were fine specimens of a worthy race. If Rua had deluded his people and had obtained money from them on false pretences, was it any credit to the police or to the Justice Department that proceedings had not been taken against him under that head?
