Official figures of the wheat pools state that the net indebtedness to the Imperial Government and the banks to July 17 was £0,044.000. The wheat shipped was 0,742,000 bags, the local sales were G,503,000 hags, and the cash receipts were £11,094,000. A material reduction in the price of grain will probably bo announced by the Wheat Board during the current week. It is understood that circumstances have arisen which must shortly bring about a general reduction in the price of wheat, while an almost immediate fall in the price of wheat for local use is practically certain.
