19TH REINFORCEMENTS.
NEW PTA'MOUTH MEN FAREWELLED. In spite of the heavy rain yesterday morning there was i gathering of residents at the New Plymouth railway station yesterday morning to fareweil (lie district's quota for the lDth Reinloreenfents. Prior to marching to the station the men were supplied with eoflee, etc., at the Women's Patriotic rooms. Before entraining, the men were briefly addressed bv the' Rev A Ii Cliappell and his Worship the Mayor (Mr. (;. H. Burgess), and wished God speed, good luck, and a safe return The presence of the Citizens' Band enlivened the farewell, the musical items rendered being greatly appreciated.
