LIQUIDATION ORDERED.

LECAL ACTION AUTHORISED.

AV the resolutions submitted to the special general meeting of shareholders in the Dominion Mortgage and Finance Company, Ltd., a branch of the Home Builders, Ltd.. were carried. The meeting decided that the company .should go into voluntary liquidation, and directed that legal proceedings should be taken against such persons as counsel may advise in respect to the brokerage commissions paid to the Dominion Finan ciers. Ltd., and to the purchase.of shares in the latter company. Jiy a further resolution, .Mr. H. P. Richmond was appointed counsel.

The affairs o| the company were discussed at considerable length, one of the principal speakers beim; Mi Cleave. A number of (piestions were addressed to the directors hv shareholders'.

After carrying the resolutions for the oonsideration of which tin; meeting hud been eonvened, the meeting unpointed a subcommittee to recommend a liquidator for appointuu'iit. Jt was decided that a further meeting of shareholders should lie held on Friday, August 4, to confirm the resolution to liquidate the company, and to appoint a liquidator. If the resolution be coulirmed, the company will be in liquidation from the latter date.—New Zealand Herald.
