FICHT IN THE BALTIC. GERMAN'S BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN REPULSED. Received July 21, 11 p.r,.. Copenhagen, July 20. There was violent cannonading between Landsort and Gottskasando on Wednesday night. A large German torpedocr was seen in the morning steaming rapidly southward. It is supposed the Russians were pursuing the Germans as the firing was still audibie in a more southerly direction. Firing" was also heard near Sansvall. London, July 21. It is reported there was a naval engagement in the Baltic on Wednesday night. The indications are that the Germans were repulsed. IN THF NORTH SEA. ENEMY SUBMARINES AND AIRSHIPS. Received July 21, 10 p.m. Copenhagen, July 21. Steamers report the presence of a large number of German submarines in the North Sea, apparently of a bigger and newer type. They also report the presence of a number of Zeppelins. ... BRITISH AND GERMAN PRISONERS. Pveceived July 21, 10 p.m. London, July 21. In the House of Commons, Mr. MacNamara slated that we hail captured 13G naval officers and 2078 men. The Germans had captured forty-five British officers and 3G4 men.
