The annual report, of the Mount Morgan Company shows the income as £1,204,701 and expenditure £978,010. The di.'idends have absorbed a quarter of a million, while £30,781 has been carried forward. HIGH COMMISSION ICR'S REPORT. '1 he Department of Agriculture, Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, dated London, July 8. (Note: Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot):— Meat.—Price s are unchanged for New Zealand mutton and lamb. There is a good demand for New Zealand lamb. Argentine mutton and heavy-weight lambs are in poor demand at lower prices owing to large supply. New Zealand beef is in poor demand at lower prices owing to large supply of Argentine beef. Butter.—The market is quiet and prices arc slightly weaker. Danish, salted, 172s to 174s per cwt.; Irish creamery, salted, l.ißs to lU2s, unsalted, !oOs to 184 a; Canadian, salted, KiOs to 104s; Australian, salted 158s to 100s, unsalted 100s to 102s, good to tine quality salted 152s to 150s; New Zealand, salted 108s to 170s; Argentine, salted 150s to 158s, unsalted 15Ss to 102s. Cheese.—The market is dull and unsettled, and prices are declining. Canadian, white. S2s to 84s per cwt.; English eheddar, lllls to lOSs; New Zealand, white 94 s to 90s and up to 98s, colored 94s to 90s. Higher prices refer to sales made earlier this week. There is failenquiry for New Zealand chee.se in good condition, but cheese in unsatisfactory condition is difficult to sell. Prices are irregular. States fiats 90s to 93s per cwt. On July 1 the estimated Canadian and States cheese stock, London, Liverpool and Bristol, was 127,000 boxes, against 124,000 at the same time last year. The estimated New Zealand and Australian cheese stocks, London and Bristol, was 18,250 crates, against 12,750 at the same time last year.
