Sydney, July 12. The Farmer--.' Conference has deleted from il s platform the plank favoring the abolition of the Upper House. The plank of the lighting platform will include the limitation of State enterprises to developmental works and general publie utilities; the limitation of all interference with commerce, and the prices of commodities to trusts and combines, which are detrimental to the general public. INDUSTRIAL DISEASES BILL. Brisbane, July 13. In the forthcmoing session the Government will introduce ai> Industrial Diseases Bill to deal with miners' phthisis and similar diseases. GOLD YIELD. Melbourne, July 13. The Victorian yearly gold yield was 329,0tiS ounces fine, valued at £1,755,230, a decrease of 34,150 ounces compared with the previous year. DEPRECIATION OF THI? SOVEREIGN.
