Munro. reported killed in action, was formerly a member of the legal statV o£ the late Colonel Mulonc, Sergt. 11. A. Pearce (wounded) was in charge of the Public Trust Office, New Plymouth. Lance-Corporal B. Simpson (wounded) was a. member of Mr, Newton Kings N(>w Plymouth staff. Lance-Corporal A. E. White (wounded) is a son of Mr. J. T. \\ hite, manager for J. B. MacEwan and Co., New Plymouth, and was on the staff of Smart Bros. Private R. Marrett, who left New Zealand with the Main Force, has been killed in action in France. Private "Bob'' Marrett, who was well known and very popular in Stratford, was employed liv' Messrs. Bellringer Bros., at Stratford, and later at New Plymouth.-Post. The funeral of the late Private Patlick Butler, nephew of Mr. John Butler, of Toko, who died in Trenthnni Hospital on Monday as the result of epilepsy, takes place to-day. The body being brought to Stratford for interment. The funeral will be a military one. Private Walter George Pointon (wounded and admitted to hospital) is a son of Mr. William Pointon, Tariki. Private Charlie Lepper, son of Mr. and Mis. H. B, Lepper, Lepperton, has been wounded. Private 11. Rider, whose parents reside on the Currington Road, lias been killed in action. He was educated at the New Plymouth High School, and afterwards entered the employ of Mr. Carter, grocer. He was of a ijuiet, unassuming nature, and made many friends, who will deeply regret his death. He is the second man from Mr. Carter's staff to give his life to the Umpire's cause, the other being Private Charles Crone.
