UK]) PLY WLVS SAPLIXG STAKES. The Xe\v Plymouth Coursing Club held a meeting for yearling dogs at filen Avon on Thursday. The attendance of the puMic was very -food, aiul the coursing excellent. Mr. Joe Jenkinson. the popular secretary, gave every satisfactiou as judge. The hares were in good order, and in many of the heats gave the dogs groat runs before reaching the escapes. Results: First Round.—Fireproof beat Black Streak; Red Fly beat Hailstone; Fir ing .Mick beat Navy Blue; Overproof beat Black Sweep; Irish Twist beat Waterproof; Darkie Nell beat Dust' ■ proof; Booker's -Gift a oye. ■Second Round.—Rod Fly beat Fireproof; Overproof beat Flying Mick; Darkie Xell bsat Irish Twist; Booker's liift a bye. Semi-linal.—Overproof beat Red Fly; Darkie \el! beat Booker's (iift. Final.—Ju (lie final, Mr. E. Haskell's Red Fly, probably the best-conditioned dog on the ground, defeated Darkie Xell by a small margin, after a straight course, in which the hare, a strong nmuer, reached the escape.
