ANXUAL meeting. Tlioi thirty third annual meeting of shareholder? of the New Plymouth Sasli and Door Factory and Timber Company, Limited, wa<; held on Monday afternoon. Mr. Newton King (chairman of directors) presided. The annua! report stated that, unfortunately the lamentable war now ragin;,' has caused more loss to sash and door and ti-vber companies than to almost any other class of business. After making provision for bad and doubtful nehts, Hie directors recommended a dividend of 2s Id por share on paid up shares, ami Is 3d per share on those partially pa-d, and that the balance, f'?s(i 14s sil. be carried forward. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, the retiring directors re-elected, and Mr. H. Baily was re-appointed auditor, and vote of thanks was passed to the manner, secretary and staff. .'\t an extraordinary general meeting held subsequently it was decided to enlarge the hv.finess of the Company so as to enable it te undertake building of all kinds either on its own account or on account of clients.
