Sir,—Replying to a deputation the other clay, the Prime Aliiiisloi said no powei on earth can reduce the cost of living at the present lime, and, in the next breath to the cheese producer, he says:—".Remember, ]. have (he power to take your produce at my own price," or words to that effect. Well, I fancy most housewives would nominate rent, flour, firing and meat as the most expensive and necessary items towards the upkeep of a home, and they are New Zealand products, so why not apply the sauce for the goose, sause ii.r the gander gag, jnd fix the price of these as well.—T am, etc., RENOWN.
