There was a heavy canomule, and the Russians retreated north east. A big German squadron is also cruising iu the North Sea. GERMAN REPORT. Received July 2, 5.5 p.m. London, July 2. A Berlin .nmnmnique reports that on Thursday night German torpedoers attacked a Russian squadron, consisting of an armored cruiser, a protected cruiser and live destroyers, between lleafringe and Landsort. After p short engagement the Russians withdrew. Despite the heavy bombardment, we suffered no casualties or damage. CAPTURE OF GERMAN SHIP. Received July 2, 5.5 p.m. London, July 1.
