Mr. and Mrs. Stephenson Smith, who have been the guests of Mr. Percy Smith, have returned to Blenheim. Miss H Cut field, who has been visiting friends in Nelson has returned. Miss Monies, who has been holidaymaking in Rotorua and Auckland, has returned. Mrs. Alee. Williams. Palmerston' North is the guest of her mothers, Mrs. R. Cock. Mrs. Penn, who has been on a holiday trip to Wellington, returned to New Plymouth lost Tuesday. Mrs. Hickman Russell, in honor of her little (laughter (Frances') first birthday, gave a babies' party at her residence last Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Robinson, Mokau, is on a visit to HastingsMr. and Mrs. Coxhead spent a few days in New Plymouth this week, before leaving for Australia Mrs. Peat (Otaki) arrives in New Plymouth on Monday. She will he the guest of her daughter, Mrs. A. H. Colvile. Miss Doris Bradbury leaves for Wellington next Wednesday, where she will be the guest of Mrs Balham. Mrs. Hinton, who has been holidaymaking in New Plymouth, left for Wanganui last week. Mrs. F. Morton (Hawera) spent a few dayF ; n New Plymouth this week. Miss G. Marriner, vflw is visiting Mrs. A. H. Colvile, leaves on Tuesday for her home in Auckland. The engagement of Miss Doris Bradbury, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Mclnnes Bradbury, to Sergeant W. .A Gill, of the lath Reinforcements, and eldest son of Mr. W. T. Gill, of Pungarehu, is announced. » » • v Mrs. M. Fraser, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. C. Williams, Tauranga, has returned. The friends of Miss Connie Twonicy, of Opunake, will be pleased to learn that she is progressing very favorably after her recent serious operation ki ihe New Plymouth hospital .She hopes to leave that institution next wctk.
