A STRANDED AUSTRALIAN.
TRAVELLING WITHOUT A PASSPORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Francis Ornston, an Australian farmer, is stranded in Auckland. He had booked his passage to Vancouver by the -Niagara, but was stopped at tlie gangway by a detective, who demanded his passport. Ormston, with his wife and brother, who had also booked their; passages, remain here. Ormston states that he is unable . to account for the aition of the authorities. The police will say no more than that they acted upon instructions from Wellington
