WEDDING BELLS.

SCHICKER—CODD. A very pretty and interesting ceremony took place in tiie Wesleyan Church, Tnglewood, on Wednesday, Htli inst., when Mr. Edward Sclnckcr, of Kaimiro, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Miss Violet Codd, eldest daughter of MrH. Codtl, of Dudley Road. The bride, who wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, looked very attractive in a dress of white silk erepo <le chine, with a blouse of silk lace, and carried a shower bouquet of white daisies and roses and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Bessie Codd and Miss Tda Allenman (niece of groom) who wore ivory silkpinafore dresses, lace blouses, and mob caps, and also carried shower bouquets. The bride's present to the groom was a set of gold sleeve links, while the latter's presents to the bride and bridesmaids were to each a gold brooch. Several cheques and a large number of valuable and useful presents were presented by relatives and friends of the happy pair, who left by the 5.20 p.m. train* en route for Christchureh, where the honeymoon- will be spent. At the wedding breakfast, at the residence of the bride's parents during the afternoon, a large number of friends and relatives attended when the usual toasts, etc., were duly honored. In the evening the Dudley Road school was crowded with friend's who accepted invitations t< a social evening, and it goes without saying that all hilly enjoyed themselves— Durham correspondent.
