OTAGO NEWS. By Telegraph.—Press Association,' Oamaru, Last Night. The North Otago section of the 18th Reinforcements departed to-day, two over the quota. Splendid rains have fallen during the past fortnight and quite a magical clmnge has come over the district, the winter crops soming on splendidly, and not a sign of the recent drought is visible. The whole district is now in verdure clad. The prospects for the coming season is bright. Heavy rain has been falling continuously since the early morning. North Otago has raised £IOOO for the Naval Dependents' Fund.
