Six o'clock closing is hung up, awaiting the Lord Howe island steamer, which is due on July 13th, though it is known that 23 Islanders voted for six o'clock and eight for all other hours. The question having arisen whether New Zealand cheese is covered by the recent proclamation of the Commodities Commission, the secretary states that it covers all cheese, including New Zealand, exempting fancy classes.
