The Daily Mail declares that the Ulster decisions >re a great triumph for Mr. Redmond, who staked bis career 011 the acceptance of Mr. Lloyd George's proposals. The result has caused profound satisfaction in London, as no further serious opposition is expected. Ottawa, June 20It is believed that the Duke of Con naught, who is shortly retiring from the Governor-Generalship, will be appointed to represent the King in Ireland under Home Rule. EARLY RESTORATION OF UNITED SELF-GOVERNMENT SOUGHT. Received June 27, 8.50 p.m. London, June 27. Mr. Redmond presided at a meeting of 50 Nationalist members of the House of Commons in Dublin. The meeting resolved, with two dissentients—"That we learn with the deepest gratitude of the decision of the UJster conference in agreeing to the temporary exclusion of six counties. This will create a new obligation for tlie whole of Ireland, and we will work uninterruptedly for the early restoration of united self-government for the nation. In our judgment Mr. Lloyd George's proposal will afford the best means of promoting that object and should be accepted."
