THE POULTRY SHOW. TARAJTAKI SUCCESSES. TKere was a line benching'at tlie Manawaju Poultry Club's annual show, which was held at iPalmerston Jf*rth last •week. Turanaki fanciers were well represented, and proved very successful. In Minorca*, Stewart and Landsperg secured one first and two seconds. In Leghorns, A. C. Aubrey (Waitara) secured a first and special for brown hen, third for brown cockerel, and first for brown pullet. J. Aubrey Reeurofl first and two specials for brown cockerel. Stewart tnut Landsperg secured first and three spe/aajs for white cockerel, and thirds .for white hen and white pullet. A. C. Aubrey obtained second for white pullet. For American white pullets, Stewart and Landsperg obtained highly coiujnended in a class of twenty-two, irtld for Andnliislans the fame' firm secured one first, a second, and a third. In the Wyandotte class, W. Hall (Leppertbu), obtained a first and third in silver hens and a third in pullets; second and third in golden hens; first, secod, third and special in golden pullets; first each in special in golden pullet; first each in, a.0.v., cock or . cockerel and hen. J, Urlich (Haweraj secured first and special in the golden cock class, and also took Bimilar prizes in the white cock class, besides first prize for white hen and second prize for partridge hen. A. C. Aubrey's cockerel got first priie in the partridge cockerel class, and H. E. Cuddy's exhibit was second in th« golden ccokcrel class. W. Hall annexed the Collinson and Cmininghanic cup for most points. This trophy he secured last vear, and he has only to win it once more for it to become his own property. In Rhode Island reds, F. U. Duckworth secured two first, a special and a second. For the Utility classes (Plymouth Rocks), Stewart and Laridsporg obtained* third and highly commended, and In Wyahdottcs W. flail secured two firsts and a special. For Orpingtons, Stewart | and Landsiuerg obtained a first and a second. In Leghorns, A. C. Aubrey obtained a first, and Stewart and ..Landsperg a second. In selling classes of ducks,
a second. For ducks, Stewart and Landsperg obtained first, special and second for Indian Rumier drake, and first for duck over twelve months; also first and second for both drake and duck under twelve .months. In the selling classes of ducks, Stewart and Londsperg secured four firsts a'nd a-special. Ii the pigeon clascs. H. J. Moverley was the only TaranaUi eompctitov, and he secured a number of prizes, including five firsts and four specials, two seconds, a third, a v.h.c. and h.c.
HONEY. In tTie Tioriey section there was a good display, several South Taranaki apiaric* being Well represented. C. F. Rainie, of Inaha, scored first in granulated amber liquid medium, gannlated medium, comb honey, yellow beeswax, bleached beeswax, and was second in export case of light, amber and granulated honey. In this latter class R. J. H. Nicholas (Hawera) was first.
