THE POSITION IN SYRIA. ALLIES' RECOMMENDATIONS TO GREECE. Received June 26, 6.5 p.m. Paris, June 23. The" Foreign Affairs Committee, in Chamber, considered the Greek situation, and recommended rigorous application of the Allies' measures. They passed a resolution regretting the fresh Turkish persecutions in Syria, and declaring that these should be punished; also urging the Greeks to take steps to end the reign of terror in Syria.
THE GREEK STEWPOT. BULGARS BECOMING ALARMED. Received June 26, 8.45 p.m. Athens, June 26. The Allied fleets bombarded Dedeagateh and other towns on the Bulgarian coast. Fresh concentrations of Bulgarians are reported from Fiorina. The Bulgarian press, fearing Roumania, advises the government to withdraw the troops from Macedonia, to defend Bulgaria proper. The Entente has agreed to pay Greece the instalment of a loan to enable her to tide over her urgent needs until the elections.
GREEK BLOCKADE EASED. Athens, June 25. The Allies have released Greek nierchantment, including a number of wheat - laden vessels.
ROUMANIA'S LAST HOPE. Times and Sydney Sun Services. Received June 26, 5.0 p.m. London, June 25. The Times' correspondent at Bucharest says that a Union of Federation has inaugurated public meetings, urging Roumania to take the last opportunity to realise her national aspirations, and cooperate with the Entente.
