Ultimatum to united STATES. AMERICAN MILITIA CALLED OUT. FOR BORDER DEFENCE. By Cablo.—Press Association—Copyright Washington, June 18. General Carranza has issued an ultimatum to the United States, forbidding American troops to penetrate further into Mexico. The United States was about to dispatch another Note,' replying to previous Mexican demands, but has withhold it pending developments. Further troops have been dispatched to the Mexican border. Reuter states that President Wilson has ordered out the State Militia in all States for service on the Mexican border. Renter reports that the calling out of the militia does not contemplate an invasion of Mexico, but the protection of the border against bandits. The men will be sent to the border as required.
