Other planks declare for freedom of the seas, and the encouragement of American shipping. Mi' Roosevelt's friend, Mr. Perkins, nfter confc-ring with Republican leaders, has intimated that the Republicans and Progressives are going together to support Mr. Hughes GERMAN PAPER'S VIEWS. Amsterdam, June IS. Tiie Cobsne Gazette states that the German-Americans, on whose votes the decision may rest, are on Mr. Hughes' side, and now have an opportunity of paying baik President Wilson's false hypoeritica 1 . lieutiality and, his attacks on their American nationality.
