Empty cow? £0 5s to £S ss, bulls £fi 10s to £lO, steer claves £3 4s to £4 2s, heifers calves' £2 Is to £3. At Albert yards on Friday Imr-i.s proved slow of sale. Heavy draughts £23 to £35, medium £l7 10s to £2B 10s, unbroken medium £lO to £2O 10s, light harness horses £9 to £l4 ]os, hacks £7 10s to £l3, ponies £4 to £lO.,
At Pukekohe on Monday we had a full yarding of dairy cattle for our special dairy sale, and buyers being in attendance, competition was keen, everything being sold at high rates. Best dairy cows £lO to £lO 10s, others £fi to £0 10s, best ditto heifers £S 15s to £l3, others £5 10s to £8 ss.
At Pukekohe on Tuesday bidding was keen. Two and .i-half to three-year-old steers £8 15.=. to £lO, yearling to 18month steers £5 5s to £0 17s fid, steer calves £3 to £4 lis, hei/er calves £2 53 to £3 17s Od, yearling to 18-month heifo.s £4 to £5 12s Cd, empty cows and heifers £6 5s to £8 17s (id, bulls £0 10s to £l2. Beef, in large supply, sold at fully Westfield prices, steers selling to £lO 10s, cows to £l2 17s fid. At Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday best oxen sold to £2 7s 6d per 1001b., others £2 3s to £2 fis, cows and heifers sold to £2 53 per 1001b for best, others £2 Is to £2 3s (Id, steers sold at from £l2 7s fid to £2O 7s Oil, cows and lieifers sold at from £S 5s to £l9 15s for a white eow futted liy Mr. James Taylor Cambridge. Some of the averages were: 9 steers from Mi. .James Taylor, Maungakawa £2O Is; 10 steers from Mr. W Henry, Taupiri, £lO 15s; 12 steers from Karaka, £lO. A truck of extra well fatted cows from Mr. James Taylor, Maungakawa, averaged £l7 ss. Calves were penned in full numbers, nnd sold at advanced rates.
