Waitara, Juno 16. _ The latest enlistments with Mr. J. Kempsell, hon. recruiting officer, arc as follows: J, H Slight, J. Kelly and D. Spencer (Waitara), J3, G. Hansen (Atokau), A. L. Wiley (New Plymouth). The St. Jehu's Church's annual June tea aiid concert in aid of the Church's funds, held in St. John's Hall last evening passed off very successfully, due no doubt to the fact that the "Lilliput Troupe" were responsible for the entertainment, This troupe of young artists, whiclr comprises the Messrs. and Miss Clifford, Messrs. Taylor, Mary and Violet Hf.rrison, drew a crowded house and soon captured the hearts of the audience. Every item met witli a deservedly vociferous reception, Master George Clifford's "Tiddle Poir." made quite a hit, and 1-ad to he repeated again. Misses Taylor and Clifford, who were the ,vits of the troupe kept the audience in roars of kiij'hter with their amusing antics and clever jokes, while Miss Violet and Mary Hnrrisin's interpretation of their various item? were also greatly appreciated.
