ITS VALUE FULLY PROVED. Many persons have escaped pneumonia by the use of Chamberlain's Cough Rebedy. This remedy is especially valuable for colds, and pneumonia nearly always starts with a cold. Many mothers have testified to the vnliic of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy in cases of croup and whooping cough. It is an old-established preparation that can be relied upon with implicit confidence. It is pleasant and safe to take and may lie given to a child as confidently as to an adult. Sold everywhere. The London correspondent of the Press writes:—The authorities have authorised Messrs Kdgnr Allen and Co., of Sheffield, to manufacture copies of a specimen of Krupp machine .of great value in the tanking of high-speed steel for munition purposes. The specimen is now in the Royal College of Science at South Kensington, and there is a war history behind it. immediately war broke out Krupp's agent in England applied to have the machine removed from the museum, but the authorities would not let it go. Mr. Rushen, who appeared for Krupp's at the Patents Court, said that when war broke out they were preparing to have the machine manufactured in this country, and would have received a royalty of 30 per cent. On the other hand, it was argued by Sir George C. Marks, M/P., who appeared for Edgar lAllen and Co., that ."> per cent, was sufficient, and with that view the Comptroller agreed. He pointed out that the royalties paid would for-the present go to the Public Trustee, and the Government will decide at the end of the war what is to happen to the money. - WHEREIX THE DANGER LIES. The danger of opium in cough medicines lies not only in the drug, but in the fact that opium cheeks the cough, causing the mucus to be retained in the air passages and form culture beds for ns of pneumonia, scarlet fever and ...,..itheria. 'Pneumonia is more likely to follow whooping cough or.a cold when a, preparation containing opium is given. There is no opium or other narcotic in Chamberlain's Cough Remedy, and being an expectorant it cleans out the germ culture beds, thus preventing . pneumonia. Sold everywhere.
