THE LATEST COURTMARTIAL. SERGEANT FLOOD NOT GUILTY. Received June 14, 6.15 p,m. I London, June 13. At the court-martial on Sergeant Robert Flood, of the Dublin Fusiliers, on a charge of murder, the prisoner gave evidence that there were many circumstances that combined to cause him to suspect Lieut. Lucas and Rice. He fully believed that treachery was afoot, and therefore he arrested the men. He believed then, and now, that the brewery would have been captured if he had not Bhot the prisoners. Flood added that he did not believe that the officer he shot was Lieut. Lucas, but somebody who was impersonating him. A verdict of "Not guilty" was returned and Sergeant Flood was released, (A cable on June 12 said: A courtmartia] is being held in Dublin on Sergt. Robert Flood, of the Dublin Fusiliers, who was charged with murdering Lieut. Lucas, of King Edward's Horse, and William Rice, an employee in the Guin-' ness Brewery, on April 29. It was alleged that Rice was conducting Lucas round the brewery. The Fusiliers' guard were jumpy, and suspected Lucas and Rice were rebels. Lucas opened the window, which was contrary to instructions, and Flood arrested Lwcas and Rice and Bhot them. Lieutenant Warwick came up and rushed Flood, and the guard Bred, killing Warwick.)
